Students & Parents

Students & Families

Students and families contact me when a Title IX complaint has been filed, a disciplinary hearing is scheduled, an academic integrity charge needs to be answered, or a student is not getting the accommodations they are entitled to. I also work with families navigating the transition from high school to college disability services.

Services are available in several forms depending on what stage the matter is at and how much help is needed: educational resources, a paid consultation, flat-fee services for specific stages of a process, and hourly representation.

Matters I Handle

  • Title IX investigations and hearings

  • Student conduct and disciplinary proceedings

  • Academic integrity allegations

  • Disciplinary appeals

  • Disability accommodation disputes

  • Section 504 disability discrimination

  • Grade disputes

  • University complaints and grievance processes

15-Minute Introductory Call

No charge

This short call is available for prospective clients who want to determine whether a matter is a fit for the practice and whether a full consultation would be useful.

The introductory call is intended for screening and fit only. It is not designed for detailed legal advice or document review.

One-Hour Consultation and Document Review

$950

This consultation is designed for students and families seeking substantive guidance about a school or university matter.

Documents are submitted in advance, reviewed before the meeting, and discussed during a one-hour consultation focused on the current stage of the matter, the relevant procedures, and possible next steps.

This is often an appropriate starting point for matters involving Title IX investigations, student conduct proceedings, academic integrity allegations, disability accommodation concerns, disciplinary appeals, grade disputes, and university complaints or grievance issues.

Where to Start

Some families begin with the introductory call to determine whether a matter is a fit for the practice. Others begin with the one-hour consultation and document review because they are ready for substantive guidance.

If a student needs focused help with a particular stage of the process, a flat-fee service may be appropriate. More complex matters may require hourly representation.

If you are unsure where to begin, the introductory call can help determine whether a full consultation would be useful.
